Oh! Parrot with its beak so red,

How did you colour your wing instead?

Did you tip over a paint can?

Did the forest fairies blow red fan?

 

Were you pecking at plums from Nepal?

Were you mingling with the oak’s leaves, that fall?

Have you been eating chillies over ripe?

Or is it you’re not do invisible cape,

 

What ever the reason may be!

For the red streak in your glide,

It plants a smile in other bird’s beak,

Making soaring in the sky a jovial ride.
